Rintaro Yano | Violin

Rintaro Yano is a Japanese violinist based in Stuttgart, Germany. He received his early musical training at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division in New York with Masao Kawasaki and completed his Bachelor of Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music under Ilya Kaler. He continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Basel (FHNW), earning a Master of Arts in Performance with distinction with Rainer Schmidt, followed by a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy in 2023.

An active chamber musician and orchestral player, he has performed at festivals including IMS Prussia Cove, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival Academy, Aspen Music Festival, and Thy Chamber Music Festival, and has collaborated with members of the Hagen Quartett and the late Joseph Silverstein. He maintains long-term engagements with ensembles such as Kammerorchester Basel and Collegium Musicum Basel. Alongside his performing career, he is dedicated to teaching and has been teaching at the Musikschule Heidenheim since September 2025.
